A Rectangular field 750m long and 450m broad has in the middle of it , road 5m wide running at right angles to each other , one long the length and the other along the breadth . Find the area of the path

the area of the path that is running along the breath is= 450*5=2250 m^2
the area of the path that is running along the length is= 750*5=3750 m^2
but as the two roads cross each other in the middle if we just sum the two areas it would over-estimate the crossing area.
so to negate the over-estimated region we have to deduct area of=5*5=25 m^2 from total.
total area=3750+2250-25=5975 m^2
