I am confused about how to graph two numbers on the same line.
I need to graph:
x</+ -2
x>/+ -4
both on the same line
I have:
-6 -5 [-4 -3 -2] -1 0 1 2
solid line
I am not sure if I have the right [ or if I need a ( and if I need a solid line.

It looks like you have it right but remember solid circles at the ends indicating that the end points are included. (if not, then you would use open circles)
