I need to know how to do percents. Example: what is 6% of 18?

First you change the percent to a decimal. To do it, move the decimal point two places to the left.

6% = 0.06.

Then multiply (of means multiply) the decimal times the number.

18 * 0.06 = 1.08

So -- 6% of 18 is a little over 1.
