How do you find the volume inside the cylinder but outside the sphere? H=12cm.

I assume the cylinder is outside the sphere
In that case subtract
pi r^2 h - (4/3)pi r^3
if the sphere fits exactly in the cylinder then
D = h = 2 r
and we have
2 pi r^3 - (4/3) pi r^3

= (2/3) pi r^3
