f(x)=3/(x+1) g(x)=(x^3)/5 h(x)=x^2+7x+10

a. f(x)=10
b. f(x)=g(x)
c. g(x)=h(x)
d. f(x)=h(x)
I am told to solve the equations, but the term "solve" is so vague. I don't know what I'm doing. Please help lead me in the right direction. Thank you.

"solve" means to find a value (or several values) of x which makes the equation true.

a. f(x)=10
since f(x) = 3/(x+1), you have

3/(x+1) = 10
3 = 10(x+1)
3 = 10x+10
10x = -7
x = -7/10

So, if x = -7/10, f(x) = 10

Work the others the same way.
