We can't divide fractions, so we use the reciprocal of the divisor and multiply.

3 * (2/1) = 6

If you multiply 3 by 1/2, you'll get 1 1/2

You cant divide a whole number by a fraction, so dividing it by 1/2 would actually be multiplying 3 by 2... so the answer is 6 , I know this because we covered this in my class last month.
