I'm on Microsoft word, and I accidentally saved my document with one of these lines in it that you can form by doing this:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you get rid of it? I keep trying but I can't do it.
Thanks!

Highlight it and hit the backspace or delete key?

That's what I figured but you can't highlight it and press the backspace key. It usually works before you save it, but I saved it and it won't work now. Does anybody have any ideas?

Did you highlight and hit the delete key?

Yes, I did but it wouldn't highlight in the first place. It would just delete the blank spaces I had before and after the line.

If you cannot highlight it, you might try this:
1. Put your cursor at the beginning of the next line of text beneath the line.
2. Press the Backspace key until the line and the spaces before and after it are gone.
3. Save your work.
4. Then add whatever spaces or other text you need.
If you ever notice this happening again, immediately hit the Undo arrow at the top of your screen or press Ctrl + Z.
