Joseph had 7 1/4 ounces of candy to share with his friends. He gave them 2 4/5 ounces of candy when they came over to play video games. How many ounces of candy does Joseph have left? Explain.

make sure you have the same denominator.
this is a subtraction problem.
7 1/4 turns into 7 5/20 and 2 4/5 turns into 2 16/20. since you can not subtract 16/20 from 5/20 you need to borrow from the whole which is 7. so 7 becomes a 6 and you add 20/20 +5/20 and get 25/20 now you can subtract 6 25/20 - 2 16/20 = 4 9/20

For something that happened years ago, they typed a whole paragraph just to express their opinion. The Connexus teachers do not do much other than instruct us to follow a 30-minute schedule; they rarely do anything more than say a few words. Why do you think most of these individuals have chosen online careers as their career field? They have it easy for themselves, so why do you think they chose that as their profession? This is likely done to avoid having to get up and work for nine straight hours straight, which is considered what you might describe as "lazy". And some people are not even able to get their parents' attention from time to time due to their lack of notice or distance relationship between their children. Others do hesitate to ask for assistance because they are afraid of being judged by their parents. And the fact that some people have special needs does not imply that they require more assistance than those who do not. They can solve their problems (most), but they refuse to do so (I have seen this for myself). Special education students are capable of handling their problems on their own, but they need an adult by their side.
