1.To make the following saline solution (375ml 0.5% w/v sodium chloride).
I have weighed 1.875g of NaCl.
What will be the volume of water that is required?

I have no idea BUT you can get close.
0.5% w/v means 0.5 g NaCl/100 mL SOLUTION.
0.5 g x (375/100) = 1.875 g NaCl/375 mL of SOLUTION. How much water that must be added to make 375 mL of solution s not known without the density of 0.5% NaCl w/v. If you assume that adding 1.875 g NaCl to H2O doesn't change the volume, then you will need 375 mL H2O.
