if the distance traveled by car is c, the 22-c is on bike.
add up the times, knowing that time = distance/speed:
c/30 + (22-c)/18 = 1
clear fractions to get
3c + 5(22-c) = 90
3c + 110 - 5c = 90
2c = 20
c = 10
