How can I find the surface area and volume of a hexagonal prism if I don't know the height, only apothem and one side of the base?
Thank you!

as you recall, the area of a regular polygon is 1/2 the product of the apothem and the perimeter.

That help?

How about this: one side of a hexagon is 1/6 the perimeter.

Apothem=6sqrt3
side=12

SA=2B+ph

SA=748.25+72h

is that correct?

i just don't understand how to figure out the height..

well, you do have a problem. Unless they give you the height of the prism, you're stuck.

It's like asking for the area of a rectangle if they only give you the length.

The prism is a 3D figure, and they have only given you the information on the base.
