What is the maximum number of electrons in an atom that can have the following quantum numbers?

n= 4
ml= -3
ms= +1/2

How would you figure that out given those information? What's the process of that?

3 answers

For N = 4
and ml = -3
then l = 3
You can have two electrons (ms = +/- 1/2) with ml = -3.
I'm still not quite sure how you were able to figure that out.
The answer is actually 1.
