How is a drop of water an element? PLEASE HELP!!!

It depends on your definition of element. Under Ancient definitions, all things were composed of the four elements: Earth, Water, Fire, and air.
Since that time, only a few consider that. Most of we moderns consider water a compound, made of the elements Hydrogen, and Oxygen.
