An 8 meters bamboo pole is leaning against a coconut tree. The foot of the pole is 3 meters from the base of the tree. What angle does the pole make with the tree if the pole reaches up to the top of the tree?

So you want the angle at the top of the triangle where the pole touches the tree.
then the "opposite" is 3 and the adjacent is 8
looks like a tan relationship
tanØ = 3/8
Ø = 20.56°

Looks to me like a sin/cos relationship: the 8 is the hypotenuse
sinØ = 3/8
Ø = 22.02°
sinØ = 3/8
Ø = 22.02°
