The height(altitude) divides the triangle into two congruent rt. triangles:
X = 12cm/2 = 6cm = Hor. side.
Y = h = Ver. side.
Z = 12 cm = Hyp.
Y = Z*sin60 = 12*sin60 = 10.4 cm. = Ht.
X = 12cm/2 = 6cm = Hor. side.
Y = h = Ver. side.
Z = 12 cm = Hyp.
Y = Z*sin60 = 12*sin60 = 10.4 cm. = Ht.
