What is the inverse of y = (3/7)x + 9

I know you have to switch x and y so I get to x-9=(3/7)y

from there I don't know what to do.

You now solve this new equation for y

x = (3/7)y + 9 , (you did not switch the x and y )
times 7
7x = 3y + 63
7x - 63 = 3y
y = (7/3)x - 21

then solve for y:

x = (3/7)y + 9
x-9 = (3/7) y
7/3 (x-9) = y
