reaction balanced equation.

Al2C3 + O2 ----> CO2 + Al3

therefore

3Al2C3 + 9O2 = 9CO2 + 2Al3

so try to find the mass of CO2 from the equation, then n= m/M

Which of the following is NOT true about the thermodynamic standard state?

A. A gas is in its standard state when its pressure is 1.00 atm and its temperature is 25C.
B. An aqueous solution is in its standard state at a concentration of 1.00 M.
C. A pure liquid is in its standard state at 25C and a vapor pressure of 1.00 atm.
D. A solid is in its standard state when the atmospheric pressure is 1.00 atm and the temperature is 25C.
E. All of these are true.
I thought that the answer would be D.

The balanced equation is
Al2(CO3)3 ==> Al2O3 + 3CO2

Step 1. Convert 1.45 g Al2(CO3)3 to mols.
Step 2. Using the coefficients in the balanced equation, convert mols Al2(CO3)3 to mols CO2.
