2l = p - 2w
l = (p - 2w)/2

I just want to add that whenever they ask you to solve for a letter, any letter, it means to isolate the letter just like Ms. Sue easily did.
Do you see that l has been isolated on the left side of the equation?
This is very important to keep in mind in any math course.
Also, it does NOT matter on which side of the equation the variable is isolated.
