A very broad definition of population would include all of those. A more narrow definition would eliminate the skyscrapers because they are not animate.

What does your text say about population?

That's okay. In general, a population refers to a group of individuals or objects that share one or more characteristics of interest. These individuals or objects can be anything from people, animals, plants, bacteria, buildings, etc. A subset of the population is called a sample. Scientists use samples to make inferences or draw conclusions about the entire population.

So, based on this definition, options A, B, and D could all be considered populations. Option C, however, would not be considered a population because skyscrapers are not individuals or objects that share a characteristic of interest.
