Write an equation of a line in slope intercept form that is parallel to y = 3x+6 and passes through the point (-10, 2.5). Do not use spaces and enter fractions as improper reduced fractions when needed.

you know the slope=3, so just plug in your numbers:
2.5 = 3(-10) + c
c = 32.5
y = 3x + 32.5
2.5 = 3(-10) + c
c = 32.5
y = 3x + 32.5
