A 0.95 m rod with uniform mass distribution runs along the x axis with its left end at the origin. A 1.8 m rod with uniform mass distribution runs along the y axis with its top end at the origin. Find the coordinates of the center of gravity for this system.

This is soluble only if they both rods have the same mass distribution. If they do,
the center of mass of the 0.95 m rod is at (0.475; 0) and has a mass of 0.95;
the center of mass of the 1.8 m road is at (0; - 0.9) and has a mass of 1.8;
the center of mass of those two objects is at:
[(0.475)(0.95) + (0)(1.8)]/2.75 = 0.164 [x coordinate]
[(0)(0.95) + (-0.9)(1.8)]/2.75 = -0.589 [y coordinate]
C.M.: (0.164; -0.589)
