Question

A car is coasting to a stop. The total drag (frictional Forces) on the 200kg car equal 2000N. Initial velocity is 25 m/s

1. What is the acceleration of the car?
2. How far does it travel before comming to a stop?

1. a = F/m = 10 m/s^2
F is the friction force, m is the mass

stopping time = V/a = 2.5 s
stopping distance = Avg. velocity * time
= 12.5 * 2.5 = 31.25 m
