how far can a cyclist travel in 2.5 hrs along a straight road if her average speed is 18 km. per hr?
(ignore the actual question, what my teacher wants me to do is find the average speed and average velocity using these measurements.)
any help is greatly appreciated! :)
THANKS

2.5 times 18 is the total distance traveled.
As you ordered, I am ignoring the velocity vector and positions on the x axis (displacement). If the person spent half the time going east and half the time going west all at constant speed, the net result would be lots of distance traveled but no change in location :)
