Asked by Kelley

after a cyclist has gone 2/3 of her route, she gets a puncture in a tire. Finishing on foot, she spends twice as long walking as she did riding. How many times as fast does she ride as walk?

I know that the answer is 4 but do not know how to get to this answer. Can you please show me the steps?

it takes her twice as long to go half as far

so she walks a quarter as fast as she rides

w = (d/2) / 2t = 1/4 d/t

r = d/t
