how do i solve for:
2^(x+1) =9
3e^(x-8) +5=14

and ln(2x-5)=4?

first: take log of each side
(x+1)log2=log9 solve for x
second : take ln of reach side
ln3+(x-8)=ln9
third
log2x=4
2x=10,000
