KAY IS MAKING A SHARK MODEL. SHE WANTS TWO FINS OF THE SAME SIZE. SINCE EACH FIN WILL BE A RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLE, SHE CUTS OUT A RECTANGLE. WHY DOES SHE DO THIS?

because opposite corners of a rectangle are right angles, and a diagonal cuts the rectangle into equal halves.
