The answer is 40.
Why?
Because, the length of the 96 inch line is.... 96 inches, but that's the full line.
You need half.
96/2=48
52 inches is the hypotenuse.
So, since you're trying to find the bottom line, use the Pythagorean Theorem (A squared +B squared=C squared). Square the hypotenuse (52*52=2704), subtract the longer leg (48squared= 2304) the answer you get should be 400, then get the square root, 20, and double it (since you're looking for the full length) which is 40 :) good luck
