The radius is Half of the Diameter. So you would do 8/2 = 4
r=4
r=4

diameter = 2 times radius
In other words, it takes 2 radii to make one diameter.
You are given the diameter to be 8 inches.
We have:
8 inches = 2r
We divide both sides of the equation by 2 to find r.
8 inches/2 = r
4 inches = r
Let r = radius.
Then, radius is 4 inches.
Done!
