The point (-1,-3) must lie on both curves. Thus
-A -4*(-3) = 9
-A +12 = 9
A = 3
and
4*(-1) +B*(-3) = -1
Solve that for B
-A -4*(-3) = 9
-A +12 = 9
A = 3
and
4*(-1) +B*(-3) = -1
