A 1100 kg car moving south at 16.0 m/s collides with a 2650 kg car moving north. The cars stick together and move as a unit after the collision at a velocity of 5.36 m/s to the north. Find the velocity of the 2650 kg car before the collision.

wouldnt it just be 16.0m/s + 5.36m/s. Because the car had to be traveling faster than the other to push it? I might be wrong though so don't think mine is perfect. What class is this for?
