v = boat speed
speed downstream = (v + 6)
speed upstream = (v-6)
time = distance/speed
160/(v+6) = 96/(v-6)

10/(v+6) = 6/(v-6)

5/(v+6) = 3/(v-6)

3(v+6) = 5(v-6)
3 v + 18 = 5 v - 30
2 v = 48
v = 24 mph
