Question

Each fire hose is 25 yards long. What is the minimum number of hose for a 230 ft distance?
(I think I have to convert 230 ft into yards which is 76.666 yards. So I think I need a miminum of 4 hoses. )
Am I correct?

Correct!

3 hoses will give 3*(3*25)=225' which is not enough.
