Q: what is the formula, answer and conversion of a 39.8gallon electric hotwater heater and height is 22"width & 48" height and its a cylindrical tank? So were looking for the formula in steps to get the answer which is 39.8 gallons in imperial.

v = pi*r^2*h
= pi * 11^2 * 48
= 18246 in^3

one imperial gallon is 277.42 in^3, so

v = 65.77 gal

Am I missing something?
