Area = 1/2 Height * Base

If base = x, then height = .5x-3

300 = 1/2x(.5x-3)

Solve for x.

300=1/2x(5x-3)
5x^2-3x-600=0

(using Quadratic formula)
x1=-10.659
x2=11.259

...we have no negative measure for the BASE so,
b = 11.3m
