2x^2 - 3x - 4 = 0

I think I added the x terms up incorrectly
should have been
2x^2 - 2x -4 = 0
divide by 2
x^2 - x - 2 = 0
now it factors
x(-2)(x+1) = 0
x = 2 or x = -1
should have been
2x^2 - 2x -4 = 0
divide by 2
x^2 - x - 2 = 0
now it factors
x(-2)(x+1) = 0
x = 2 or x = -1
