Two ethical dilemmas potentially faced by a family whom the wife has colon cancer and the son is a 24 year downs. The wife mainly cared for him and the husband is lost and depression and has been drinking

Ethical for whom?
1. Lady needs treatment for cancer, that is the first priority.
2. "has been drinking" is a meaningless statement. "lost and depression" makes no sense. Man needs to see a doctor. Is the depression treatable with drugs? if so, treat. If he is an alcoholic, that is another issue.
3. Kid needs a new caretaker.
I am not certain I see issues of Ethics here, unless you are in the current crop of radical politicians that say forget them all, they have no economic potential.
