very very easy
sub x = 6-4y into
2x - 3y = 1
2(6-4y) - 3y = 1
12 - 8y - 3y = 1
-11y = -11
y = 1
then x = 6 - 4(1) = 2
sub x = 6-4y into
2x - 3y = 1
2(6-4y) - 3y = 1
12 - 8y - 3y = 1
-11y = -11
y = 1
then x = 6 - 4(1) = 2

Thank you, but:
How did you go from 12-8y-3y to -11y?

12 - 8y - 3y = 1
12 - 11y = 1 , that should be clear
12 -12 - 11y = 1 -12
-11y = -11
divide by -11
y = 1
