the perimeter of a rectangle is 68cm. the length is 2cm less than 3 times the width. find the length and width.

P = 68 cm.

Width = x-cm.
Length = (3x - 2).

P = 2x + 2(3x-2) = 68 cm,
2x + 6x - 4 = 68,
8x = 72,
X = 9cm.

3x - 2 = 3*9 - 2 = 25cdm.
