How many red beads will she use if she uses 24 beads.
The answer is 16
But the problem is we cant figure out the equation???

Let x = the yellow beads.
2x + x = 24
3x = 24
x = 24/3
x = 8
2x + x = 24
3x = 24
x = 24/3
x = 8
