I need help with an equation problem.

Write the equation of the line that passes through each pair of points.

(-2, -7) and (3,8)

First find your slope:
[8-(-7)]/(3-(-2))
(8+7)/(3+2)
15/5=3=slope

Then pick one of the given points and plug that and your slope into your point-slope formula:
y-8=3(x-3)
y=3x-1
