ch3-ch2-ch2-ch(c triple bond CH)-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH3
Doesn't make sense, do you mean
CH3-CH2-CH2-C(triple bond)C-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH3
9 carbon chain so a nonane derivative. The triple bond starts at C4 so
non-4-yne (or 4-nonyne)

I meant the triple bond is at the top of the 4 ch (left to right) . This is online homework so it says the parent chain is heptyne . So i don't know if the system is giving me a wrong hint
