I just wanted to double check on this, because I don't think you are for say "forcing" them to think differently, but giving them the info to let them possibly change their mind.

That is a bad question.

I don't think it is forcing them to think differently, but more like trying to convince them to agree with your argument on a specific topic, that is the best way I can think to answer your question. I finished my COM classes a while ago. Good luck.
