I need help with the experimental design of my project. I am testing to see if the the position (chin height, chest height, over head) of the basketball affects the number of shots that go in the basket. What is the independent variable and what are the levels of the independent variable? What is the dependent variabl?e

An independent variable is the potential stimulus or cause, usually directly manipulated by the experimenter, so it could also be called a manipulative variable.
(chin height, chest height, overhead) = levels
A dependent variable is the response or measure of results.
