A boat moves through the water with two
forces acting on it. One is a 2000 N forward
push by the motor on the propeller, and the
other is an 1741 N resistive force due to the water around the bow.

Henry
Fn = F1 - F2 = 2000 - 1741 = 259N. = Net force.

F = ma,
a = Fn / m = 259 / 1020 = 0.254m/s^2.
