The only isosceles truiangle that has a right angle is a 45-45-90 degree triangle. It is half a square of 40.5 cm^2 area, divided along a diagonal.
The equal side lengths would be sqrt40.5 = 6.364 cm
The hypotenuse would be that times the square root of 2, or 9.00 cm

The answer is exactly nine, since
sqrt(40.5)*sqrt(2) = sqrt(81)
I should have seen that.
