Suppose f(x)=2x-5 and g(x)= |-3x-1|. Find each value.
f(1)+g(2)
How would I solve this problems? If anyone could give me the step, thanks a lot.

If f(x)=4x+3
then f(6)=4(6)+3, i.e. replace x on the right hand side by the number in parentheses on the left.
Proceed the same way for f and g.

Where do you get the 6 from?

Does f(1) + g(2) mean the sum of those 2 output? Thanks

The (6) is just an example.
In your case, you'd do the same thing with 1 and 2 respectively, as you have suggested.
Yes, it's the sum of the two evaluated expressions.
