9^0 + 64(8)^-2
= 1 + 64/8^2
= 1 + 64/64
= 1+1
= 2
= 1 + 64/8^2
= 1 + 64/64
= 1+1
= 2

ANY NUMBER that has an exponent of 0 to it is equal to 1, except the number 0.
PLEASE NOTE! if I have a negative number and I have an exponent of 0, then it is always equal to NEGATIVE ONE!
