a)H2SO4

b)CuS
c)HF
d)Zn(NO3)2

Which are strong, weak, or non electrolytes.
I was think A was strong B and C were weak and D is non

A is mixed. The first H ionizes at 100% so it is a strong electrolyte. The second one, however, has a k with it (about 0.012) so it is a weak electrolyte.
CuS is not soluble in water. I don't know how you classify it but since it doesn't dissolve it has no ions and I would go with a non-electrolyte.
HF is weak.
Zn(NO3)2 is readily soluble in water to form ions. It is a strong electrolyte.
yes thank you the 1st one was considered strong :)
Actually, I should not have included all of that extra material with the answer. The problem asked about electrolytes and not about ionization. Therefore, I should have answered "strong electrolyte" and stopped at that point. But there is no charge for the extra information. :)
