Just get out your good old
v = at
s = 1/2 at^2
formulas and work with them a bit.
We want to find out how long it will take to go 245m under acceleration.
245 = 7t + .4t^2
t = 17.5 sec
v = 7 + .8*17.5 = 21.0 m/s
