5/7 divided by 35/3.
When dividing fractions, you need to invert the second fraction (turn it upside down) and then multiply.
5/7 divided by 35/3 = 5/7 * 3/35
5/7 * 3/35 = 15/245 = 3/49

How did you get 3/49 from 15/245?

Ms. Sue
I divided by the largest number that goes into both 15 and 245. Since both numbers end in 5, I knew that both are divisible by 5.

No.
Denominators need to be the same when you're adding and subtracting fractions.
They do not need to be the same when you're multiplying or dividing fractions.
